We all love the smell of freshly cooked bread but so many of us never seem to either have the time or energy to produce one of our staple foods. Processed bread although can last longer never quite tastes the same as a home cooked loaf like our mothers use to make us. Using the right air tight kitchen canisters will ensure any home baked loaf will last as long as possible before going stale. Home baking is a skill that is gradually dying out as we all rely on the mass produced supermarket loaves. However many of us have the perfect kitchen appliance to take the hard work out of producing a delicious home baked loaf. Basic Bread Recipe
Preparation : 5 mins
Rising : 30 mins
Baking : 30 mins
Ingredients (serves 4)
• 350 g plain flour
• 25 g fresh yeast
• 2 tbsp sunflower oil
• 1 tsp salt
• 1/2 tsp sugar
• 165 ml water
Attach the dough hook to your Magimix Food Processor then tip the flour, oil, salt and sugar into the bowl and press the “Start” button to begin blending.
While the machine is still running, dissolve the yeast in the water and pour it in through the feed tube.
Continue blending for approximately 1 min until the dough forms a ball. If the dough fails to form a ball, add a little water. Press the “Stop” button
Allow to rest for 30 minutes in the food processor bowl, leaving the pusher in place.
Knock down the dough by pressing the “Pulse” button 3 or 4 times. Dust with flour and place in a cake tin. Leave to prove for approximately 2 hours.
Bake in an oven preheated to 210° C (gas mark 6/7). Eat as soon as it is cool.
For a crustier loaf, leave in the oven 10 min longer.
Once you have made one loaf with your Magimix food processor you will never look back, not only saving yourself money but also enjoying freshly made bread in your own home with very little effort.

I’m sure I don’t need to tell you that children are some of the messiest people you’ll ever meet. Even getting them to hang up their coats when they come in from inside can be a chore. I ended up getting a large shelf unit on the wall, and told them to keep any games and controllers in there when they weren’t using them. It didn’t clean up things 100%, but the room is definitely less cluttered than it used to be, and really, I think that’s more than enough to ask for in this circumstance.
So when it comes to keeping your kids organized, try to find ways to make it easier to stay neat, and you’ll find yourself fighting with your kids much less. I know I did.
