All Thomas the Tank Engine ToysWooden Sir HandelSir Handel is another retired one. He is a small, blue engine with his name and a circled number 3 on his side. He may have recently been retired as e-bay has tons of sir handel auctions. You can also get Sir Handel (for now anyway (dec 05)) with the ice cream factory building. Thomas the tank engine and friends train and track are fantastic toys for girls and boys of all ages-as young as almost toddlers, to preschoolers, and children all the way up to 12. If you know a child who likes Thomas, it's always easy to figure out what to get them for presents. However, Thomas trains are not the most affordable gift out there. If your child likes Thomas you may also want to consider geotrax for the younger set and brio trains for less expensiveness. I think that the Thomas the tank engine sets are the absolute best sets you can buy-much higher quality than the knockoffs or look-alikes. I have considered the less expensive Thomas compatible sets before, like Brio tables or the Brio roundhouse, but I have never bought. The train tables are shorter, a little smaller, and less sturdy -- the Round House has no turntable in front and the doors are harder for little hands open. I think my boy was originally so fascinated with Thomas the the train sets because of the face on the trains. Joe's first trains were a used of lot of several trains from the ebay. My boy still has all of those trains and he plays with them all the time. Related links |
