Toby the Tram Engine

In my opinion, allaboardtoys consistently offers the best prices on all the Thomas engines, including Toby. The wooden Toby is available for $11.00 usually, the take along Toby for $7, and the battery-powered Toby for under $20. There's also several books and videos with Toby in them.

Toby is another favorite of my son's, even though we don't own the wooden Toby, just the metal Toby - I'm not sure why. It must have something to do with Toby's portrayal in the stories. Toby has a coach, Henrietta, like Thomas has Annie and Clarabel, but Henrietta does not come with Toby unless you get him in the Sodor Gift Pack.

Toby looks a lot different from the other engines, he has a kind of siding over his wheels that lets him work on roadside tramways. He is portrayed as a kind of fair negotiator.
